The harmony of Eritrea is a reflection of the intrinsic values of its society and for that very reason, it’s first ever hosting of the under 20 CECAFA championship is based on its values and beliefs.

"Development and friendship cup" is the theme of the CECAFA cup of this year. As has been mentioned earlier, reverence, peace and harmony are among the primary ingredients of the values of the Eritrean people; accordingly, the sport's note of this special 2 weeks is enthused by these values.
