Believing in Thought EnergyBelieving in Thought Energy

By Medhanie Mussie

Do you believe that your thoughts have energy? Do you believe that a place or an object can retain the energy of the people that have come into contact with it? If you have ever entered an old home and sensed the presence of its previous occupants, or held an antique item in your hands and feel the history of it, then you know the answers.

Every thought interacts with the energy of the universe. Negative thought looks for other negatives or thought energies to bind with. Eventually, a matrix of negative thought energy is created and forms a thought wave. These powerful negative thought waves manifest themselves in our lives in the form of poverty, crime, war, plagues and natural disasters. Negative energy creates a vacuum. It detracts from the life-giving nature of the universe. Negative thought waves come in many sizes and have been known by many names: bad luck, misfortune, disaster, evil, curses, etc. Call them what you will, the source of their energy is the same. The source is us.

Positive thought energy also seeks out other positive energies. If you are a source of positive thought energy, positive and beneficial energy will return to you in many wonderful and unexpected ways. Positive thought energy creates a surplus; it is the surplus of positive thought energy that allows for the creation of life. You alone are responsible for the type of energy created by your life.

Becoming aware of the power of your own thoughts is the most important step in understanding how to handle the adverse influence of the negative thought of others. Knowing the value of positive thought energy allows us to become sensitive to negative energy. We begin to notice it in our own speech, we see it in our relationships, and we notice it in others.

Being aware is the key. Once we are aware of the negative thought energy in our lives we can take measures to eliminate it and replace it with beneficial, healing energy. It is as simple as noticing it and dismissing it with our minds. A thought enters our mind that we recognize as negative, we simply dismiss it. By dismissing negativity we take away its power by not allowing it to manifest further negativity in our lives.

There are, of course, many other techniques available to combat negative thought energy and create positive abundance in our lives–including focused meditation. The first critical step, however, is simply the realization of the existence and effects of these energies. We are largely what we have thought ourselves into being, the balancing being represented by the character of suggestions and thoughts of others, which have reached us either directly by verbal suggestion or through telepathy by means of such thought waves.

Our general mental attitude, however, determines the character of the thought waves received from others as we as the thoughts emanating from ourselves. We receive only such thoughts that are in harmony with the general mental attitude held by ourselves; the thoughts not in harmony affecting us very little yet awaken no response in us.

The man who believes thoroughly in himself and maintains a positive strong mental attitude of Confidence and Determination is not likely to be affected by the adversity of negative thought of Discouragement and Failure stemming from the minds of other persons in whom these last qualities predominate. At the same time these negative thoughts, if they reach one whose mental is pitched on a low key, deepen his negative state and add fuel to the fire which is consuming his strength, or, if you prefer this figure, serve to further smother the fire of his energy and activity.

We attract to us the thoughts of others of the same order of thought. The man who thinks success will be apt to get into tune with the minds of others thinking likewise, and they will help him and he them. The man who allows his mind to dwell constantly upon thoughts of failure brings himself into close touch with the mind of other failed people and each will tend to pull the other down still more. The man who thinks that all is evil is apt to see much evil will be brought into contact with others who will seem to prove his theory. And the one who looks for good in everything and everybody will be likely to attract to himself the tings and people corresponding to his thought.

Eritrean youths have a great power of thought: thought that wants to make a change, thought that wants to make a difference, thought to enhance the economic growth of the nation. This thought has few equals compared to the thoughts of the youths of other countries. What makes us different from the so-called “developed youths thought” is that, we are taking a great part in nurturing and handing down the country’s responsibilities. This responsibility is being carried out in a state of mind focused on providing the best thing we can offer. The value of our thought and approach is that we are all committed to the best outcome, and that is what we have to focus on. Young people involved in different work areas have demonstrated a high level of devotion to the collective result. The result is what people have been waiting to see and to achieve for years. The work at times might be challenging, frustrating and labor intensive, but it may extremely be gratifying. Our thoughts seem to enjoy learning more about other people’s idea and working together to realize the results that benefit everyone. With the more thoughtful power injecting into the conceptual work, more action- oriented, practical and observable results can be accomplished.

Thoughts are living things. A thought is as much solid as a piece of stone. We may cease to be, but our thoughts can never die. We often hear repeated the well known Mental Science statement ”thoughts are things we cannot see, hear, weigh or measure their vibrations” is no proof that they do not exist. There exist waves of sound, which no human ear can hear, although the ear of some insects can register some of them and delicate scientific instruments invented by man catch others. And there are light waves, which the human eyes do not register.

Supposing we had no instruments to register magnetism–one might be justified in denying the existence of that might force because it could not be tasted, heard, seen or measured. And yet the mighty magnet would still send out waves of force sufficient to draw to it pieces of steel weighing hundreds of pounds.

Thought has got tremendous power. Thought can heal diseases. Thoughts can transform the mentality of persons. Thought can do anything. It can work wonders. The velocity of thought is unimaginable. Thought is a dynamic force. The vibrations of psychic on the mental substance cause it. It is a force like gravitation, cohesion or repulsion. Thought travels or moves.

Law- one–great law–governs the universe. We are familiar with that wonderful manifestation of law, which draws and holds together the atoms of which matter is composed. The mighty law that draws to us the things we desire or fear, that makes or mars our lives. Thought is a force- a manifestation of energy- having a magnet – like power of attraction.
