A local Eritrean team by the name of Eri-Stars is to participate at the Inner-City World Cup (26th edition) at the Hackney Marsh football ground which consists of 24 countries. The tournament will take place over a period of two days starting on Saturday 31st of July 2021 and finishing on Sunday. We call on all Eritrean Londoners to come and support our very own promising young team, and use this opportunity as a family day out for picnic in the park.
Eri-Stars is an all-Eritrean team integrated with those born in the UK as well as those who were born in Eritrea. The team has been gaining strength having participated at the Islington mid-week league, which consist of 10 teams and is currently promoted to division having successfully completed their first season in top shape.
