Bio

I am a British Footwear designer, recently completed my Masters degree in Fashion Footwear at the prestigious Cordwainers institution now owned by London College of Fashion. Cordwainers College is acknowledged mainly for its excellence and for the birth of household names such as Jimmy Choo, Camila Skovgard, Patrick Cox, Emma Hopes amongst many others.

Prior to my Masters course, I completed a BA Hons in men and women’s Footwear Design at the same institution. For my final BA collection I collaborated with Churches footwear (owned by Prada). Since graduating from Cordwainers and before pursuing the MA, I worked for Italian firm Pitti Capital, as well as undertaking extensive freelance work. Whilst living in Italy I perfected the language by solely speaking in Italian. I undertook the MA in order to specialise in ladies footwear design and as a platform for producing luxury shoes for the fashion conscious, modern woman.

Since the launch of my AW2010 collection, my shoes have been involved in a number of editorial magazines and I have collaborated with fashion designers as well as British singers such as Katie Melua and Nadine Charles

When making my shoes, I collaborate with some of the best artisans in London. I am currently working on a commissioned bespoke collection.

My AW 2010 styles have been exhibited at the prestigious Mall Galleries in Charing Cross, Beauty with a purpose and Globe media international amongst the work of the legendary Terry Di Havilland.

Influences

My passion for shoes started from a young age. I grew up watching my father make bespoke men’s, women’s and children’s shoes. I headed straight to ‘Cordwainers’ after my GCSE exams wanting to fulfil my great desire to design and make shoes. My foundation course, BA (Hons) and Masters Degrees have all been undertaken at Cordwainers Institution.
